Through a statement, the Fifth Harmony quintet confirmed Camila Cabello's departure from the band.
“After four and a half years together, Camila's representative informed us that she has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish him the best”, read the message published this Monday on the group's social networks.
The female music group had its beginnings in the second season of The X Factor show in 2012.
The four members: Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui will continue for our fans. We are four strong and dedicated women to Fifth Harmony as well as our solo careers.”
After the release of the statement, many fans have begun to speculate that what the singer really plans is to launch her solo career.
In early December, Cabello released the music video for her first solo single “Bad Things” alongside rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
A few months ago, Cabello unexpectedly left the stage during the group's show in St. Louis, Missouri, in an anxiety attack.
“Hello Missouri, I apologize for not being able to finish the show. I was suffering from a lot of anxiety. I love you and I'm so sorry,”he tweeted.
