Guillermo Benites, the respected presenter of one of Univisión's local newscasts, has said goodbye to us. "He died after a brief illness, surrounded by his family at home," reported one of the chain's subsidiaries through his Facebook page.

The march of this great communication professional has left the world of journalism in mourning. That is why many of his colleagues and friends have made tributes through affectionate messages on social networks.

"Very sad news this morning. The journalist from channel 23 Guillermo Benites who retired a few months ago died. QEPD," wrote the presenter María Elena Salinas.

"It leaves a very big gap for this community," presenter Mayo Azze told El Nuevo Herald. "She gave everything in her work. She was a public servant, she loved her family but her work was very important to her and that is why the public respected her so much."
