Murtaza Ahmadi, an Afghan boy who became world famous by releasing a photo of himself in a plastic Lionel Messi shirt, was able to meet his idol. The little boy fulfilled his dream of meeting the Argentine soccer player in Doha, where his Barcelona team was playing these days with Al Ahli from Saudi Arabia.

The video of the moving meeting between the 6-year-old boy and the athlete was published on the Twitter account of the Organizing Committee of the Qatar 2020 World Cup. There you can see how Messi takes the boy in his arms. Murtaza softened the world by wearing a shirt of his idol made of a plastic bag painted with blue and white stripes and with the number 10 and surname of his favorite player.

One of Messi's fan accounts posted a photo of the boy in the plastic shirt and since then Murtaza has become a celebrity. Shortly after, the boy received an original Messi shirt and a soccer ball that UNICEF gave him; but, without a doubt, his greatest hope was to share with the player.

The boy was even able to accompany Messi and the other Barcelona players to the soccer field in the capital of Qatar and pose with them for photos. Murtaza apparently brought even more luck to Barcelona as the team won 5-3. Goal for Messi!
