Mick Jagger Becomes A Father Again, At 73

Singer Mick Jagger, who is a grandfather and great-grandfather, welcomed his eighth son on Thursday at the age of 73.

The boy was born in the United States and is the result of his relationship with the British dancer Melanie Hamrick, 29 years old.

The news was confirmed to People by a representative of the vocalist of the Rolling Stones, who are preparing to present a new studio album and have just finished a world tour that included a historic concert in Havana.

"The son of Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger was born in New York today and they are both fascinated," it was said in a statement released on behalf of the couple.

"Mick was in the hospital for [the creature's] arrival," the text highlighted. "Both mother and son are doing very well and we ask the media to respect the privacy of the couple at this time."

The boy - whose name is not yet known - thus becomes the eighth son of Jagger, who is the father of Georgia, James, Jade, Elizabeth, Lucas, Karis and Gabriel Jagger, whose ages range from 17 to 45 years. The English singer also has five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The rocker and Hamrick met in 2014 and the romance began immediately. Later, last July, it was known that the young woman was pregnant. This is the dancer's first child. Congratulations to both of you!
