Without a doubt, this week has been one of the saddest in the sports field, on Monday night, a plane carrying the Brazilian Chapecoense team crashed near Medellín. So far there are only 5 survivors, footballers Alan Rushel and Jackson Follmann, journalist Rafael Henzel, stewardess Ximena Suárez, and coach Erwin Turimi.

Fortunately, the survivors are stable, but substitute goalkeeper Follamann had his leg amputated.

According to information published in The New York Times, an electrical failure combined with a lack of fuel was apparently the cause of the plane crash that was heading to Medellín which lost contact with the control tower 30 kilometers from its destination.

The flight was scheduled to land in Medellín at 3:30 am but lost contact when flying at a height of 15 thousand feet above Cerro Gordo in the Municipality of La Ceja Antioquia.

After finding the black box of the aircraft, the specific causes that caused the accident will be defined.
