With the world of soccer completely paralyzed by the coronavirus crisis and without knowing how the activity will resume, the Spanish LaLiga has organized for this Saturday a global macro-concert in the networks in which 20 renowned artists and 20 footballers from the clubs that dispute the championship.
Alejandro Sanz, Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, Sebastián Yatra, Juanes and other stars from the music world will participate in this charitable initiative called LaLigaSantander Fest that will begin to be seen on Saturday at 6 pm (CET), 1 pm in the East Coast of the United States.
"Helping from home has never been so easy," says Sanz in one of the promotional videos of the concert, in which he encourages participating in the event to raise funds to finance the fight against COVID-19 that is causing so much damage throughout the planet..
LaLigaSantander Fest will be broadcast simultaneously worldwide and can be followed through LaLiga channels, in addition to offering the signal to international television, LaLiga said in a statement.
"We wanted to support all those people who are in quarantine and, at the same time, raise funds to acquire medical equipment," said the director of Business Marketing and International Development of LaLiga, Óscar Mayo, who thanked the collaboration of all the teams, the artists and sponsors. "Everyone has joined us in this initiative. And I am convinced that together we are going to create something great."
