It's another great week in another great year for Latin-American music. Not only did one of the most anticipated nights in music, the Latin Billboard Awards, foreshadow some cool tunes to be dropped, but urban music is being embraced. The April 25 event blessed us with a performance of Ozuna's “Baila Baila Baila” remix featuring J Balvin, Farruko, Daddy Yankee and Anuel AA - not to mention Bad Bunny flying on stage riding a Jet Ski for his song “200 mph.”

Over the weekend, some of the heavy hitters from the Latin urban genre music released new singles, albums and videos. Here are a few to check out.

Sech, "Another Drink" featuring Darell

The Panamanian singer and composer is one of the country's most internationally popular artists at the moment. His album, Sueños, has been the topic of conversation for an enthusiastic fanbase on social media. His latest track “Otro Trago” featuring Darell showcases one of Sech's many musical abilities, as he opens the video playing the piano.

Bad Bunny "200 mph" featuring Diplo

The Bad Bunny finally blessed us with the video to "200 mph." The track, which is one of three collaborative tracks on X100PRE, has a hype trap beat created by Diplo. The 25-year-old is undeniably one of the hottest artists right now and has promoted positive messages of self-love and anti-homophobia, seen in videos like “Caro” and “Solo de Mi.” In this vid, co-directed by himself and visual genius Fernando Lugo, I've aimed for a fun retro feel. The video opens with a VHS being inserted in the VCR and follows with a collage of vintage, kitschy beach images over bright colors.

Farruko, “La Cartera” featuring Bad Bunny

Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, artistically known as Farruko, has been making music for a decade. Like many musically involved millennials, he began making a name for himself on platforms like MySpace. He's collaborated with artists like Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Bad Bunny and Travis Scott. His career skyrocketed after his partnership with J Balvin in 2014's “6 AM.” His latest album, Gangalee, is 22-track project, heavily influenced by the genre's reggae roots.

Farruko, “Delincuente” featuring Anuel AA & Kendo Kaponi

For “Delincuente,” Farruko and Anuel pay homage to Don Omar's 2005 single “Bandolero” featuring Tego Calderon, the song was also promoted for Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and later added to the soundtrack for the fifth and sixth installment of the franchise. Switching “bandolero,” which means outlaw and outcast for “delinquente,” which is the Spanish word for delinquent, Farruko and Anuel follow the themes of the original track in discussing their current role in the genre and their reputation.
