After his hospital confinement, for almost two months, to receive cancer treatments for him, including a bone marrow transplant, Guillermo del Bosque is recovering outside the sanatorium; Although he acknowledges that it has been a very strong procedure that still has consequences.
"They gave me eight chemo in four days to try to remove all the injuries that could be done and that the transplant could come in as cleanly as possible," Del Bosque told the media. “In the past, I had had a chemo every fortnight or every month; but these were eight in four days; So, that made me very bad and, every day, they were really very heavy.”
The television producer explained that he even had three experiences that were considered clinical deaths; However, that was left behind and now he is still struggling to make a full recovery.
"Someone out there said, 'He died three times.' I never said that I would have died three times because you die only once; three times I lost consciousness. In the first I realized, "he said. "It was like ten minutes. The second and third were one of 20 and the other about 15, I didn't even notice there. When I woke up and that was when the doctors and doctors [told him] 'what a scare you gave us'. I think it is part of the process and of gravity”.
Since he could not celebrate the December holidays, Guillermo del Bosque traveled with his wife, Vica Andrade, and children to Tamaulipas, Mexico, to celebrate those special dates.
"Leaving [the hospital]. It is a special day because we are going to travel to see my family in Tamaulipas; We are going to do the meeting that we did not have at Christmas,”he revealed. "The menu is the turkey and everything that could not be done because I was still in the hospital."
