Last week, the death of two actors, Jorge Navarro Sánchez and Luis Gerardo Rivera, during the recording of the series Without fear of truth became a reason for sadness, but also for controversy due to the lack of conditions to protect the security of the histrions. Now, Gabriela Barajas, widow of the first, speaks for the first time about it.
"Surely there will be [compensation], I am not worried about that. What yes is that this has to be a watershed so that it is never repeated, so that all the people who are in a set are protected”, Barajas warned the media. "This should not have happened if there had been security measures on set."
According to the actress, her husband, in addition to his histrionic studies, had a physical preparation to perform action scenes because he was part of a team of acrobats and "towards motorcycling"; therefore, what happened was the result of a lack of production supervision. She even wants to see the recording to find out exactly how the fatal accident happened.
"I imagine that [the recorded material] must be there and, at some point, they will show it to us," he explained. “It is not easy for the people who were there in the production; for those who had to live the event. I think an investigation would have to be done at the time.”
For his part, the producer of the series, Rubén Galindo, confessed that he was not present during filming. He pledges to support the family of actors and agrees that security conditions must be improved.
"I feel very sad. It is an unfortunate accident. Unfortunately, I cannot give you more information, I was not there,”Galindo revealed to the press. "Both widows will be fully supported [financially] by myself."
