Due to pulmonary emphysema, musician Chamín Correa died at the age of 90. The information was confirmed by the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico. In addition, other singers also expressed farewell messages to the also known as the Golden Requinto.

The Three Knights, once again together for eternity with the brilliance of your requinto”, wrote Roberto Cantoral Z, president of the Society of Authors and Composers in the official Twitter account of this institution. “With my father, Roberto Cantoral, and the excellent first voice of Leonel Gálvez, you left an indelible mark in the golden age of trios. Bye, uncle".
For his part, Carlos Cuevas, who had a close relationship with Benjamín Correa, real name of the guitarist of trios, also announced the death of his former bolero teacher; considers that "it is a great loss for music in Mexico".
“With deep sadness I report that my great teacher and friend, the Mexican requinto, Chamín Correa, creator of great musical arrangements and great artists, has just died. QEPD”, mentioned Cuevas in the same social network.
Other singers such as Lucía Méndez, Dulce and Luis del Villar, expressed their sadness at the death of the founder of the trio Los Tres Caballeros.
"I cannot believe that Chamín Correa is no longer at this time," Méndez told the Mexican radio program Todo para la Mujer (Radio Formula). “I am very sad because Chamín is really a genius, the best requinto in the world and he will always leave us his memory and his beautiful things. He made wonderful records for me, an incredible human being and I am really very sad.”
Chamín Correa was also a Mexican composer, artistic director and artistic representative.
"The loss of a great man, of a great artist, of a great musician like Chamín Correa is difficult," Dulce told the same broadcast.
