Through his brother, Jack Walter Jr., Our sister magazine PEOPLE confirmed the death of Nick Gordon, ex-boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, caused last Wednesday by a drug overdose.
"We are devastated by the loss of my wonderful brother," he said in a statement to the magazine. “He leaves a void in the hearts of my family and his friends. Nick's battle in his life was not an easy one. I will forever be grateful to God for allowing me to be by his side at the end and to be able to hold his hand as he left.”
Her brother also shared beautiful words and photos of the two during some of his best moments on his personal Facebook account.
The terrible event comes three years after Bobbi Kristina passed away in the Georgia home where they both lived. Whitney Houston's daughter was found in the bathtub unconscious and with drugs on her body.
Nick was held responsible for the death of his then girlfriend by justice and was therefore forced to pay to steal PEOPLE. Leal later dropped charges denying any type of violence against him.
