Dominican Models Make Valentino Fashion Show History

For some years now, the name of the Dominican Republic has been associated not only with meringue, beautiful beaches or warm people with great flavor, but also with some of the most beautiful women in the world. All thanks to the Dominican models who have become the stars of the international fashion world. Young people like Lineisy Montero and Hiandra Martínez, among others, have positioned themselves in a privileged position in the world of haute couture and who made history this Sunday during the important Paris Fashion Week.

Many designers have already presented their spring / summer collection during the important week, including the prestigious fashion house Valentino, with Pierpaolo Piccioli as creative director, who presented a collection loaded with vibrant colors, flights, feathers and pieces with much movement. But in addition to the incredible collection, what struck us the most was the great presence of Latin models on the catwalk.

Nine Dominican models were chosen to be part of the important parade. Lineisy Montero, Hiandra Martínez, Jennifer Concepción, Melanie Pérez, Kimberly Gilbert, Martha Almanzar, Yorgelis Marte, Licett Morillo and Sculy Mejía, adorned the catwalk with its exotic beauty and imposing walk, making history. In total, nine models from the Caribbean island participated in this presentation, and who without planning it made history.

The young women, all from humble families in the Dominican Republic, have been participating in the parades of the most prestigious artists who have presented their collections both during Paris Fashion Week, as well as in New York and Milan. Without a doubt, these Dominican beauties have become designers' favorites. Bravo girls!
