During a break from her world tour, Karol G spoke with Ponte Bella about a fascinating new project. The Colombian reggaeton star is collaborating with the prestigious cosmetic brand Urban Decay in its advertising campaign "Pretty Different". "The Urban Decay thing came to me and I almost died, I almost died," says the singer excitedly. "I always had in my mind the idea that for things of beauty, of makeup, they were looking for perfection, perfect faces, with perfect features, with clear eyes or exotic faces with impressive hairs, and when I got the proposal from Urbay Decay I loved".

The artist added about the message behind the campaign 'Pretty Different': “They want to make people understand that everyone who wants to make up or dress is going to be pretty, be cute and special even if they are different. I liked giving that message to people and I was very flattered."

Part of the reasons why Karol G was chosen as the spokesperson for this brand - in addition to having more than 18 million followers on Instagram and being at the top of popularity with her new album Ocean (Universal Music Latino) - is for her versatility. “It caught their attention that my prototype of a woman varied. One day I was super sporty, another day super Latina, another day showing my figure and another day she was visiting me as a child, who loved the fact that I was a tomboy, but who combed my hair and made up and tried to be both feminine, that it was important to show the women and men who bought the brand that everyone has a different prototype and those differences make them cute. I was inspired. I love what they are betting on, teaching people to break the rules.”

The interpreter of “Punto G” spoke with Ponte Bella about her unique style. What's in your closet? "A lot of tennis, because I have a fight with heels, I will probably have three pairs of heels at most," she laughs. “I have very wide clothes because in my day to day I wear wide pants, hoodies, this is my moment to feel more myself. I really like very big jackets with colors and fur. Lately I've been in beanie fashion, I love them. 80 percent of things I buy online, I hate with all my soul measuring clothes in stores. I buy in many Chinese or European online stores, not very well-known brands. I am fascinated by big brands like Balenciaga, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, but I have a fascination for unknown brands from other places because I feel like there are things I can wear that no one else has.”

How do you care for your skin? "With face creams yes I am super obsessed, I have eyebrows, I have for the eyelid, for dark circles, the neck and the bottom of the hand, for each thing I have a different cream because I feel that At 40 I want to see myself as many artists who look super young, "says the 28-year-old artist. “On that subject I am super picky. I like exfoliating soaps, I use a body cream that is for the day and is not so buttery and one for the night that is super smeared to go to bed. I thank life that I am a brunette and I do not like to almost expose myself to the sun. These days I was in the Dominican Republic and I did expose myself to the sun, but the sun scares me, I have panic as well.”

How do you care for your hair? "When I do something in my hair or put on a wig to look different, they criticize me a lot and say that I am very false but I do it because I like to try," says the chameleonic Karol G. "With my hair, I have tails of all sizes, curtains and other very long ones for the shows, in almost all colors. As I have blonde color when I go to a pool I hardly ever put my head because my hair turns green”, adds smiling. “I have olives that I have made of all colors and flavors because with so much iron and so much hair dryer keeping it healthy is super difficult. I suffer a lot with my hair because it itches a lot, but I do try to take care of it”.

How do you like makeup? "At night I like the makeup more accentuated but the most important thing for me is that it looks natural," he says. “If I am going to use palettes and shades of different colors, I like that it looks colorful but does not recharge to the point that it transforms me, but that what I am remains.
