Thanks to the constant battle of environmental defenders, many brands have already realized the impact that many of the materials they use have on the planet and have decided to start changing the way they make their products. Fortunately, many companies offer fully recycled clothing and the list continues to grow. Now Adidas has launched a pair of sneakers made of completely recycled material.

The Futurecraft Loop was constructed from thermoplastic (TPU) only and is made in a way that it can be recycled back to a new pair of sneakers. The company said it has been working on this model for the past six years as part of its effort to only use recycled plastic on all of its models by 2024.

The company's objective is to reduce the use of plastic by creating footwear with materials that can be completely recycled and with these to make another similar model. In fact, the modern pair of tennis shoes, which is perfect for running, does not have any type of glue, so each used material can be reused without problems.

"Removing plastic from the oceans is the first step, but we can't stop there," Eric Liedtke, executive board member of Adidas, said in a statement. “The next concept to completely end the garbage concept. Our dream is that you can be able to wear the same pair of shoes over and over again.

Unfortunately for the moment they only made 200 pairs of these sneakers and they will be distributed among a group of runners, who will have to try them and give their opinion about it. But do not be discouraged because in 2021 Adidas will put them on sale.

Interesting!
