Emeraude Toubia Details Of Her Wedding Dress

For every woman, her wedding day is one of the most important in her life and it is no wonder. Aside from celebrating love with her better half, this is the day when all eyes are on her and where every detail plays an important role. But to be honest, the most important thing of the expected day is the dress and that's why Emeraude Toubia wanted her, or rather her own, to be very special. For the young actress it was very important to feel like a princess and judging by the incredible photos of her wedding, she did.

The actress of Mexican-Lebanese descent married singer Prince Royce last December in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in a celebration that lasted five days and where she was surrounded by her family and closest friends. But without a doubt, what most caught our attention from the celebrations were the costumes that the actress chose for them.

“I wanted to choose a dress without thinking about the designer or the price. I have always heard that when you put on the [ideal] dress you know what it is and that was my experience,”says the young woman, who wore three wedding dresses, one for the day of civil union, another for the religious ceremony and the last for the party. “I decided to go to several very exclusive boutiques and I also decided to go to other places of wedding dresses where the dresses were not so exclusive. It was not important to me how much the dress cost, [if it cost] a princess”

In the end, Toubia chose two of Galia Lahav's dresses, one of the most popular and prestigious designers of the moment. The Israeli designer is a favorite of celebrities such as Beyoncé and Jennifer López, and apparently now also of Toubia, who moved to Toronto to visit the White store where she chose the models she wore on her big day. We spoke to Andrea Anastasiou the owner of the place, who gave us more details of the fabulous pieces.

“That dress was exclusively designed for her. It is a dress with floral embroidery. It has more than 300 hand-embroidered flowers. It is one of the most elegant dresses. It also has crystals and pearls, and many details,”Andrea explains about the strapless tulle dress that the actress wore for the religious ceremony. Emeraude also chose the veil that had approximately 100 flowers embroidered on the edge. She looked like a modern princess."

Like all brides, Toubia tried on various outfits and went through a selection process before deciding on the models she wore. Her second option was a more comfortable dress that showed off her beautiful silhouette and was perfect for dancing.

“For the reception she wanted something to show her figure. I wanted something dramatic, but also sensual and romantic,”says the owner of the place. “[That] is made with French lace and has more than 200 hand-embroidered crystals. It was really the perfect dress for the moment. She wanted to dance and have a good time, and that's why she wanted to change her dress”.
