In the highly competitive world in which we live, stores are the ones that have had to make the most drastic changes in order to survive the digital world. Many companies have even had to close many of their stores and even declare bankruptcy due to large losses. One of those companies that has experienced losses is Ebay, which is now suing Amazon for alleged misuse of its platform.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, in a lawsuit filed in a California court Ebay claims that Amazon employees have been using the company's public message system to try to persuade sellers to go to their platform. In fact, Ebay claims that at the beginning of the month, it sent a letter to Amazon to stop this practice, but it was not taken into account.

With this legal action, Ebay seeks a judge to prohibit the employees of said company from entering its platform to speak with its clients and, incidentally, it also seeks to receive some compensation for the losses they have had due to this supposed strategy.

According to the lawsuit, Ebay claims that Amazon orchestrated this strategy to steal its customers.

"For years, Amazon has been involved in a systematic effort to infiltrate and explore the properties of Ebay's M2M system to attract customers to its platform," Ebay explains in the lawsuit. "This involves a large number of Amazon representatives trying to reach hundreds of Ebay sellers, including other countries and various states in the United States, including California."

According to the article, Amazon declined to give any statement. A war is definitely brewing between these two major companies.
