Doctor, what is facial micro-infusion about?

This treatment, as its name says, consists of impregnating the skin with a cocktail of beneficial substances for the skin such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, etc. This cocktail can be varied to meet the needs of each individual person. For example, in many cases other less traditional substances such as botox are also added and in cases of skin blemishes we can add bio-depigmenting agents.

What is the difference between this procedure and injecting botox?

The difference lies in the way of applying the cocktail. Unlike a regular facial, the substances are not applied superficially but a device with 24-carat gold-plated needles is used to very gently penetrate the skin and thus allow this cocktail to enter directly into the layer just below the surface. The gold in the needles not only prevents inflammation as a result of the treatment, but also helps improve skin circulation and therefore helps the skin look healthy, fresh and hydrated. As for the botox [that contains the cocktail, in this case its use is not to control the movements of the facial muscles but to close the pores and make the skin look younger and more radiant. This micro botox application also has a very positive effect in improving the symptoms of rosacea.

It is painful?

Not at all, in preparation for treatment we apply a topical anesthetic cream which is removed just before starting the application. This makes the treatment completely painless. Furthermore, the thickness and length of the needles of this device are extremely small.

How often do I recommend doing this treatment?

Actually, it all depends on the components that are used. If we only include nutrients, the treatment can be repeated once a month. In the case of being used to treat skin spots, the frequency will be dictated by the type of spot and how it evolves after the first treatment. For darker and more resistant stains, treatment can be done weekly. In the case of using botox to improve the appearance of the pores, the treatment is applied when the effects of botox begin to diminish and this generally occurs four or five months after each application.
