Tell us about the special ingredients that your perfumes have

They do not exist in the traditional perfume palette but they are not ingredients that I discovered. We have 1,200 ingredients that come from traditional Latin American medicine. I worked to investigate the tradition of plants native to the Chaco, the southern and northern Andes, the Amazon, the Pampa … and there we began to identify that there are plants that their active, curative principle is also a spectacular aromatic principle. We began to distill these ingredients, work with communities that produce them in every country in every region, and produce small quantities sustainably.

What was the concept that inspired you for your perfumes and stores?

Not coming from perfumery or using perfumes when I was a boy [gave me] freedom to create. [The bottle] is a patent that we have because it is unique. The perfume resides here in a borosilicate video that allows the perfume not to oxidize.

How do you get inspired to give names to perfumes?

My first perfume was Babel Library, [I wanted] to recreate that idea from that short story, the cedar shelves, the old books… reproduce that idea. Or places, landscapes …

How are the tastes in perfumes of the Latin woman?

They gravitate towards the sweet, it is inevitable.

How to find the ideal perfume for each one?

Beyond that you like it [at the moment] we insist on giving away samples because many times they come and you fall in love with something, you like it [and then] and then it seems very strong or you don't like it as much. We try to help, we send it to your house, the samples are free, shipping is free … the important thing is that you like it. There is nothing rational, it is all emotional.
