How did you find out that makeup was your thing?

I come from a painting school and that is my passion so I found how to intersperse my passion with makeup.

What is your favorite beauty trend?

Right now red. Everything that is red, I have a love affair with everything that is red: shades, lips … all red.

Are you more of luxury makeup or pharmacy makeup?

I think [both] have products that are indispensable, but my briefcase is more full of luxury products than pharmacy products.

What is your style as a makeup artist, how would you define it?

My aesthetic is to do what I have to do to make you look beautiful. When you go around I want people to tell you "how pretty you look", not "what nice makeup." That is my goal as a makeup artist.

What is the worst mistake you can make in makeup?

Do not use lip liner or use a color other than yours. The lip liner is made to fix the lipstick, if you use it too dark it does not look very nice.

Do you like the catwalk or Instagram makeup more?

The runway makeup one hundred percent

What is your favorite tool?

The sponge, I can't live without a sponge. Whether it is Beauty Blender or square sponges because it gives me a super soft skin tone, it is much easier to handle any product I am using. It is indispensable in my briefcase.

Who are your beauty icons?

As a makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin, he is one of my favorites and he was one of the pioneers in editorial makeup. In today's world Hung Vanngo is one of the makeup artists that I love with all passion and as an actress JLo. I am pure Puerto Rican so that's my beauty icon.

What is the best beauty advice you can give people?

[Use] moisturizer always and first of all. There is no makeup that will supplement what a good moisturizer can do for you. The more you hydrate your skin, the more beautiful your makeup will look.

What does being a Latino in the international world of beauty mean to you?

Breaking barriers. I think the fact that I am Latino is young I am breaking many stereotypes like if you are Latino you are lazy or if you are young you don't know what you are doing.
