The fashion world is very competitive, especially for those who do not necessarily want to design but rather carry the creations of the great designers while walking on imposing catwalks. Models face many challenges, especially when it comes to figure. Thanks to the opportunities that they now offer in the different areas of the entertainment world and also in modeling, several models, including Ashley Graham, have managed to place themselves at the level of the largest. Along that path is also the plus-size model Arcadio del Valle, whose 405 pounds has not prevented him from creating a successful profile on social media and even parading during New York Fashion Week.
I had no self-esteem. "When I started seeing plus size people like Tess Holliday loving her body and playing with fashion, then I decided to do the same," she told the publication. “I started taking photos and uploading them to Instagram and I was inspired by the good comments I received. My message is that even when you look a certain way or have a certain size you can still love fashion and you can do whatever you want.”
However, his sudden fame, the way he loves his body and the hundreds of positive comments he receives on a daily basis, have not stopped some people from criticizing his physique.
“They criticize my body, my size and the fact that I wear makeup. They say that I should not expose my body so much because I am big,”he confessed. "All I want is to promote self-esteem and acceptance no matter what size, gender or disability you have."
