This time we have consulted an expert on special occasions, the designer of Pronovias Hervè Moreau, who has shared some tips for choosing the perfect dress this Christmas.

What colors should we consider this year?

Although black does not seem festive, I always recommend a black suit for a Christmas event because it is always elegant, sensual and feminine. I also love jewel tones such as emerald blue or deep red, very appropriate also for this time of year and it is also classic and flattering.

What are the most appropriate fabrics for the holidays?

My favorite is the crepe, it's comfortable and classy and feels especially good in a mermaid silhouette. I also love sequins this time of year, they add something special to the look, but staying elegant, and who doesn't want to shine on New Year's Eve?

What silhouettes are wearing more this season?

Christmas is the perfect time to take risks with options that define the figure. Light fabrics are fun for the summer, but I tend to design tighter pieces, in the form of a mermaid or with bare shoulders for these dates.

What's the best way to wrap up in a party dress?

You can add a touch to your suit with a shawl or a faux fur jacket that you can take off when you get to the party. [In my new collection] there is an Emerald blue suit, Ganet, which is perfect with a long coat or gloves.

What is your best advice for a woman when dressing for a special occasion?

Make her comfortable with what she is wearing, be it her wedding, a party or a cocktail. Glitter and tight dresses are ideal for parties, but always trust your personality and what makes you feel good. If a woman feels comfortable in one of my designs, I know that she will radiate elegance and self-confidence.
