Since dry shampoos hit the market, they were an instant hit. For women who do not wash their hair very often to lengthen our hairstyles, this product allows them to feel clean without having to sacrifice the style they wear.
But are they using it correctly?
We spoke with the famous hairstylist Cynthia Álvarez, who works with stars like Dascha Polanco and Adrienne Bailon, and showed us in a video the exact way in which dry shampoo should be applied.
To start, the stylist recommends using a product such as Dove Refresh + Care Detox & Purify dry shampoo, as it cleans deeply and leaves a feeling of freshness.
First, Alvarez says that you have to separate the hair into one-inch sections, and then spray the shampoo on the bottom so that you don't see the product powder on the outer layer.
Once you finish the first side of the head, repeat the steps on the other side again.
After applying the product all over your head, you have to wait 2 minutes before touching your hair, so that the shampoo has time to absorb the oil from the hair.
Then you brush your hair with a compact boar bristle brush to remove any dust and extra oil that is found. And ready!
Extra tip: if you want to give your look a little life and volume without using a traditional spray, spray the ends 10 to 12 inches apart so that it does not weigh on the hair and simply revives your look.
