We had the opportunity to talk with the Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, from the series Ingobernable (Netflix), about how she takes care of herself to look regal and this is what she told us.
How do you take care of yourself in terms of beauty?
I don't take care of myself as much as I should and I hope I don't regret it later, because at a certain age you have to take care of yourself more. Thank God I have been healthy in every way and that has helped a lot. I no longer go to the sun like before, I put on sunscreen, I drink a lot of water, I try to eat well, I exercise. But as for beauty, how many facials do I get? Well I have two or three years of not getting one!
Were you always like this?
It has been changing, it depends on the ways, how you grow, how you feel as a woman, how you accept yourself. As a girl my insecurity was my chest.
How did you deal with it?
The only surgery I have is the bust surgery. I had surgery at 24, already conscious. They wanted to operate on me since I was 15 years old. Everyone [said to me:] "You have to have surgery to be an actress. ' They wanted to operate on my nose and I thought: 'Why don't you better go to another actress?' If they want to change everything, it means they want someone else. This is what there is, this is me like it or not like it because I love it. I know I don't have a pretty nose, but it's the one that God gave me. I don't like my hands, but I have learned to live with them and accept what you already have because there is nobody else like you.
What kind of treatments if you do?
I use botox, but I wear it super subtle. I have stripes on my forehead and I would have liked to put botox on before to prevent, but it is addictive if you don't have someone who knows how to do it…. I put it on my forehead and a little around my eyes. Being an actress, I can't take my expression off, but I also don't want wrinkles to show.
What advice would you give to women?
Among women we have to be more complicit. You have to share more. We all want to be beautiful and look young. Do not keep secrets.

What does being sexy mean to you?
I think all women are sexy when we don't try to be sexy. A woman is sexy or not, but when she tries to be, we water her. That takes away authenticity and sensuality. As long as you are yourself, that's what makes you sexy because it makes you sure of yourself.
