Designer Christian Siriano's fall / winter collection shone for being one of the only catwalks that has included women of all sizes on its catwalk. Not only that. In addition to models with different body types, Siriano made sure that almost a third of them are women of color. Even the song People are People by the famous group Depeche Mode - a title that was also displayed on the shirt of one of the models - accompanied the show, thus transmitting a message of union and peace. Not for nothing have they called him "the designer of all women".
Beautiful jumpsuits, cocktail dresses and long suits in orange, red and black tones, with designs inspired by the waves created by wind and nature, stood out in her collection. The beauty looks reflected the same. Makeup artist Polly Osmond from MAC created a desert-inspired eye look where I blend the Manila and Gabardine shades of the new Trend Forecast Fall 17 eyeshadow palette to apply as a base to the entire eye. To give it shine, she applied Glitter on Reflects Bronze, which she then spread to create a smeared makeup effect. "Each one has a different design," said the expert. To create a more saturated look, the expert outlined her eyes inside with the Pearglide Intense Eye Liner, in Lord It Up.
For her part, manicurist Rita Remark of Essie chose nail shades that reflected the color palette of the Siriano collection. "Part of the inspiration came from the desert, Death Valley, which has all those beautiful colors." To achieve this, the expert applied a flat, shiny and frosty textured glaze to create the illusion of rippling designs that form in the sand in the wind. After applying two coats of the purple shade Carry On, she created a wave with the Leggy Legend metallic shade and on top of it did the same with the frosty Splash of Grenadine enamel.
The hair look was simple but sophisticated thanks to the beautiful accessory that adorned the hairstyle. Stylist Anthony Cole of Sebastian Professional created a fish-type braid in which he wrapped a copper elastic. “One of Siriano's inspirations [was] fire, and that he also saw some of his pieces reflected in the Renaissance and Victorian times. It occurred to me to braid and modernize it.” To give the braid texture, Cole used Texture Maker texturizing lacquer and Craft Clay texturizing pomade before creating it.
