Barbie dolls have become an icon that not only falls in love with the smallest of the house but also many adults who even collect them. Well, now the famous doll received a makeover from none other than Christian Siriano. The designer recreated some of the most iconic pieces that great celebrities have worn to make the beloved doll look like a star and you have to see the result.

"Barbie has always been a great inspiration to me and I am honored to be collaborating with this iconic brand," said the designer in a statement. "It is especially exciting to have designed for a group of dolls that are so different from each other so that girls can feel identified with them when they are playing."

Four of the five dolls are wearing dresses that celebrities have already worn on the carpet and the remaining look was inspired by their 2018 resort collection.

"It was incredible to recreate iconic moments from the carpet and dress my new muse, Barbie, in an outfit from my Resort 2018 collection," said Siriano.

Among the looks that the artist recreated are the cropped skirt and crop top set worn by young actress Sarah Hayland at the 2011 Emmy Awards gala and the red off-the-shoulder suit Leslie Jones wore during the premiere of the Ghostbusters movie.

Unfortunately these dolls, which are part of the Body Type collection that the brand launched last year, are not for sale. Of course, there is no denying that they look spectacular.
