Coronavirus has become a worldwide problem that has many on the brink of despair, and thousands of people have already died and many thousands more become infected every day. So nothing is much when it comes to protecting your health and that of the family. So that the recommendations not to leave home if it is not necessary. But without a doubt, the most affected in all this are the doctors and nurses who have had to care for so many affected people. They are our true heroes, who have put their lives at risk to help others. That is why several companies have announced that they will help them by supporting them with their needs.

A week ago, the company that owns brands like Givenchy and Dior announced that it would start producing antibacterial gel to give to public hospital workers and the French authorities. Days later, Coty Inc., a company that owns brands such as Kylie Cosemtics and Calvin Klein, joined the initiative, and also decided to do the same in the United States. Now the designer Christian Siriano also wants to do his bit for this crisis by making masks for the medical personnel of New York hospitals, which has become the city with the most infected people in the country.

It all started with a message posted by the designer saying, "If Governor Andrew Cuomo says more masks are needed, my team can help make some," Siriano wrote on his Twitter account. "I still have a team of dressmakers working from home who can help."

Best of all, the Governor saw the message and immediately contacted the designer, with whom he is now working to bring this much-needed help to all of those health professionals.

“We are already in contact with Christian Siriano. We greatly appreciate this help,”Cuomo wrote on his Twitter account. "Who's next? Let's do this together New York."

That call was answered by the designers by Pamela Barsky, who also offered to make about 500 masks a day, and Hedley & Bennett, who are also willing to make gowns and whatever it takes.

There is no doubt that together we are more. Force New York!
