Kenya Ontiveros Succeeds As A Businesswoman With Makeup Line

Kenia Ontiveros, partner of Larry Hernández and co-star of the show Larrymania (nbc Universo) triumphs as a businesswoman in the beauty world with her namesake makeup line Kenia Beauty.

Although she already dreamed of designing her own makeup products when she was at school, it wasn't until her friend Mayeli Rivera, the wife of singer Lupillo, proposed to collaborate with her on a line of lipsticks for her brand Drama Queen Makeup. “One day I tell her [my idea] and she was telling me everything that worried me as a businesswoman, about permits and all that. And it was entangling me but I didn't think I was ready to get something out by myself then,”recalls Ontiveros.

One of the first products that Ontiveros devised was inspired by his own need. "Everyone is with the highlight contour … I watched videos on Youtube and it did not come out. All using the X palette and all the colors, all the skins used the same coffee. It's a mess that so many colors put in a palette and you don't know how to put them on.” This is how he created his contour sculpture kit, with three colors in cream and three in powder. "Many moms who don't wear makeup send me messages 'Kenya I don't know how to put on makeup and I bought your kit and it's super easy to use.' It makes me very happy.”

So much so that what started as a limited edition, has become one of its flagship products and ensures that it will continue to sell it as long as its customers continue to demand it.

In addition to caring for her husband and caring for her two daughters Daleyza and Dalary, the busy mom takes time to consider expanding her business. “It is difficult [because] now I take more care, [I travel], I leave Larry and she is not very used to it. But he supports me and accompanies me”. Among his future projects, a line of sportswear. "They sent me a lot to train and people ask me 'what do you use?' so I'm working on clothes for the gym."
