At 82, Karl Lagerfeld is more creative than ever. The famous creative director of Chanel will now become an interior designer and his first project will be to design the lobby of two luxury buildings in the city of Miami.
The designer joined the Trump Group, one of the construction companies in the United States to contribute his talent and create a unique lobby for the new project of buildings The Estates at Acqualina that will be built in the Sunny Isles Beach area.
The company, run by brothers Eddie and Jules Trump, who have nothing to do with Donald Trump, were the first to announce the news and were very excited to have the artist involved in the project.
"Eddie and I wanted our lobbies to be the greatest attraction of our project," Jules said in a statement. "Who better to create them than the master of modern creativity, Karl Lagerfeld."
For his part, Lagerfeld also claimed to be excited about his new adventure.
"I am very excited to have the opportunity to design the foyers for The Estates of Acqualina and I am proud to know that the spaces I will create will be featured spaces on the property," the designer said in the letter. “They are not only important to give the first impression of the building, but they are also areas where it is socialized on a daily basis, such as a large living room. My designs will be especially inspired by Florida as a destination itself. The weather there is very warm and I want something refreshing."
The buildings, which are scheduled to open in 2020, will have 50 floors and will have 265 luxurious apartments. They will also have ocean views, several swimming pools, lush gardens and two Rolls Royce available for the use of tenants.
