Singer MIA and H&M will collaborate together to raise awareness about the importance of recycling.
The British singer recorded a video for the store's global campaign that will be released on April 11 as a preamble to the first International Recycling Week that begins on the 18th of that month.
In an effort to incentivize people to bring recycled clothing to the store, personalities and bloggers will also make videos showing the recycled pieces they own.
Although since 2013 customers have been bringing their used clothing to any of the H&M stores around the world in exchange for a discount coupon, the chain wants to place even more emphasis on the problem that increasingly affects the environment every day.
Since this initiative began, the store has collected 25,000 tons of clothing and two years ago they launched their first collection made entirely of recycled fibers from all the clothing received.
