The beauty products company Estée Lauder, also known for its fight against breast cancer through its Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) campaign, launches for the first time globally, a video in Spanish with Latino women in the United States that they talk about their experience with this disease.

This is the story of Judy, who at the age of 44 was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and thanks to the support of her friend Patricia not only managed to cope with the disease, but after overcoming it she founded the organization ALAS-WINGS, to help Latino women suffering from this type of cancer, to understand what happens to them and how they can cope with it.

One of the main problems in detecting and treating this disease among Hispanic women is that, as this couple of friends mentioned in the video, they put many things before their health, such as the care of other family members, or the house keeping.

The latest Estée Lauder campaign, entitled “We're stronger together,” highlights the importance of the presence of close people, such as family and friends, for breast cancer patients and aims to create a global awareness of support for this disease.

Breast cancer is already the most common form of cancer among women and is expected to increase 50% by 2030, according to data from the American Association for Cancer Research. The BCA campaign was founded in 1992, has raised more than $ 53 million for the education and research of this type of cancer and is active in more than 70 countries. Judy and Patricia's video is part of their initiative “Hear our stories. Share yours”.
