After the success of her Fancy perfume line, on the market since 2008, Jessica Simpson launches a new fragrance that this time will simply bear her name.

"We were considering different ideas and names when I said, 'Why don't we just do something with my name?'" He told WWD.

The fragrance, defined by its creator as "more sophisticated, mature", is presented in a bottle decorated with a golden feather, for her, a symbol of her independence. "Being in the real world having my own opinions and making my own decisions … I saw white feathers everywhere," she said.

The pen motif is also present in the ads, in which the businesswoman, photographed by Gilles Bensimon, wears a delicate and sensual Oscar de la Renta dress.

The also singer commented that although the fragrance, with citrus and jasmine notes, represents a more mature version of itself for fans who have grown up with it, it has an air of nostalgia at the same time. "I am one of those people that part of what she does comes from her memories," she said. "It's definitely looking forward, so it's like a combination of two different elements."

The new perfume will be on sale from August.
