It is surely one of the worst nightmares these days for moms and dads: receiving a note from your children's school, warning that your children's classmates may be carriers of the coronavirus.
The scare that the Dukes of Cambridge will have taken will have been due to the fact that today it was revealed to the media that at least four of the companions of princes George and Charlotte are in quarantine, awaiting the diagnosis that confirms if they really suffer Or not the dreaded and contagious virus that continues to spread throughout the world.
Initially, the center of Thoma's Battersea, the prestigious school where the children of Kate Middleton and Prince William study in London, issued a statement warning that precautions were being taken on campus because of the Covid-19.
The reality, it was learned later, is that some school children presented respiratory problems very similar to those of the symptoms of the coronavirus after returning from a trip to Italy, the European country most harassed by the disease.
The newspaper El Confidencial , in an exclusive by Vanitatis, obtained these official statements from the spokesperson for the famous and elite educational center:
“Like all schools, we are taking the potential risks related to the spread of Covid-19 very seriously. To this end, we are following government instructions to the letter on infection prevention and treating cases where a staff member or student is suspected of being exposed to the virus or showing any symptoms.”
He added: “Currently we have a very small number of students who were evaluated and, on the advice of the Government, are currently staying at home waiting for the results of their exams. All parents were informed and we have maintained regular communication with our school community to ensure that tips are shared and important information is circulated. Of course, we will preserve the confidentiality of staff and students and we will not comment on specific cases.”
Preventively, classes in children's classrooms are already being canceled in some countries as a temporary solution to prevent the rapid spread of this new and easily contagious disease.
