Fans who have seen a new commercial in which the tennis player Serena Williams appears, supposedly with her daughter Alexis Olympia in her arms, will be disappointed: the baby that appears in the tender scenes is nothing more than a double.

This was announced on Tuesday to clear any doubts about the announcement of the Gatorade beverage brand that circulates in networks.

"Although Serena wanted to have Olympia on the screen to be part of this film, her daughter was not feeling well and could not go to the set," Gatorade representatives explained in a statement published by AdAge. "But the feeling remains the same."

In the clip, titled Sisters in Sweat, you can see the 36-year-old laureate athlete dressed in a robe and hugging a baby girl in her room. In parallel, images of Williams and the baby appear with those of girls playing sports while listening to the tennis player express words of encouragement.

"Bebita, I don't care if you play tennis badly. I don't care if you never choose to take a racket,”exclaims the white sport champion. "But I beg you, in this game of life, please keep playing no matter what happens."

The nearly two-minute clip concludes with images of successful women, such as designer Tory Burch or Alex Rodríguez's ex, Anne Wojcicki.

The controversy over the commercial rises almost a week after the Wimbledon and United States Tennis Open champion contracted nuptials with Alexis Ohanian, her daughter's father, at a spectacular wedding in New Orleans.

Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian West, Beyoncé and Eva Longoria Bastón attended the glamorous celebration.
