The Venezuelan Actress Talks About Their Separation

Marjorie de Sousa acknowledged on Wednesday that she is going through a “very, very difficult” moment after her separation from Julián Gil was confirmed a few months after the birth of her son.

"I officially inform you that the relationship with Julián Gil did come to an end," the actress said in a press release to which People en Español had access. "Many versions have been said and they have even slandered my team with statements never offered."

The Venezuelan highlighted that her "greatest" commitment is with my son, Matías Gregorio, for whom she will continue working to ensure that "nothing is ever missing."

"I know this will be because it grows and will grow with an abundant and inexhaustible love," he added.

The couple announced exclusively last September on People en Español that they were engaged and expecting a child. "I wanted children, I wanted a family too," said De Sousa in that interview. "That the baby is healthy is the only thing we want"

Their wish was fulfilled and the couple received Matías Gregorio last January, but after the child's birth, disagreements apparently began to arise in the couple that culminated in their separation.

"From the depths of my heart I am always grateful for your support, I do not deny that this is a very, very difficult time," wrote Sousa's statement, who asks for respect from the media. "It has been months of facing many disappointments and realities that I did not imagine, it is very complex what I live as a woman, as a mother and as a human being in every way of life."
