The Mexican driver Marco Antonio Regil, known in the show 100 Mexicanos said he is living hard times for the delicate state of health of his mother and this Friday morning he has dedicated himself to pay a tribute by networks to his mother in what they seem be his last hours of life.

Doña Irma Sánchez Mayans suffers from Alzheimer's disease and according to the presenter, the doctors have given him very few days to live.

"The day that I feared so much since I was a child has arrived," Regil said in a message published towards the early hours of the morning and titled "Marco Antonio Regil's Letter."

"Today the doctor told me that Alzheimer's has reached its final phase and cannot eat or drink liquids because his body and mind forgot how to carry out its basic functions. It tells us that it has a few more days to live."

In it, Regil praises his mother for raising them "alone" with him and his two brothers, Raúl Antonio and Jorge Humberto. Regil recalled how it was his mother who first believed in him and gave him "a tape recorder and a microphone" to follow his passion for communication and which would later translate into a successful artistic career in Mexico and the United States.

Among other bitter revelations, Regil related in the letter that "for a few years" his mother has not recognized him.
