Satcha Pretto is enjoying a few months with her children at home after the birth two months ago of her daughter Alana. The Despierta América (Univisión) news anchor confesses what she has learned a lot from her daughter and her 2-year-old first-born Bruce, and shares some tips with other moms.

Breastfeeding her baby has been a great way to nurture Alana, lose her extra pregnancy pounds, and connect with her daughter. “In terms of breastfeeding, it has gone really well because I already had the experience with Bruce. The challenge here is that Bruce gets very jealous. She doesn't understand why Mommy spends so much time with her little sister. Here we go. He's learning,”says Pretto, 36, who has delegated to her husband, US real estate attorney Aaron Butler, 38. According to Pretto, learning to ask for help is essential. Her mother is also a dedicated grandmother, she says. “My mommy just arrived. She will be helping us throughout this month, which is Alana's second month,”she says.

Pretto has managed to regain his slim figure. “With Bruce I exercised until the end, I ate superbly and with her it was so different. With her I was already starting to run, I was carrying her on my belly and Bruce in the car, but I didn't eat healthy,”he admits. “I was nauseated until the last day. Nauseated, she didn't want to eat salads or vegetables. With Alana I ate a lot of Honduran food, I ate sweets, I ate carbohydrates. I had this fear that I was going to get fat a lot and I got almost the same as with Bruce. I already lost 20 pounds before the first month. I'm only missing a few."

Buying clothes for her daughter has been a delight. “You can go crazy buying things. With it there is a much more selection of clothing and accessories. They say that the girls are from dad, but I think that in the long run they are from mom”, adds Pretto, who recommends trying to recycle the belongings of older brothers when equipping the new baby's room. This is how she did with her older son's furniture when decorating Alana's room.

“The rocking chair is intact. I can't tell you the same about the crib because Bruce left his mark, but we covered it with blankets”, he jokes.
