Zoë Saldaña Recounts How Difficult It Is To Sleep Her Twins

For Zoë Saldaña getting twins to fall asleep is “no joke”. So she has tried several methods, including the one her sister used, which includes a bottle of vodka.

The actress, who was visiting Jimmy Kimmel's show to talk about her new movie Infinitely Polar Bear, could not help but talk about how hard it is for her and her husband Marco Perego-Saldaña to put their little ones to bed.

"Training twins to sleep is no joke, because when one has fallen asleep, when the other was already asleep, then that person wakes up and the other also wakes up and then everyone is crying," Saldaña said in Jimmy Kimmel. Live! (ABC), as reported by E!.

The actress assured that, although there are multiple methods to get babies to sleep, she has not yet found the one that works for her, not even the one proposed by her sister, who uses a piece of paper and a bottle of vodka.

“The other day my sister, who has a nine month old baby, shared with us the method that she used. She used a piece of paper and a bottle of vodka,”said Saldaña.

“Every time you hear your children cry it is as if your guts are taken out. And we have two. It's crazy, she explained. “So there we had a bottle of Skinnygirl, and we had to monitor them at maximum volume. We also had this note, this record where you have to write down all the time”, explained Saldaña.

The actress continued recounting the experience to Kimmel. “Then we put them to bed and say, 'Mom and Dad love you,' in Italian and Spanish. Then you have to time it. And I ask my sister: 'Can we go? Can we go? ', And she:' Ok, now '. So we entered the room and I asked my sister: "What do we do?", And she said to me: "Eye contact, and just say: 'Mom and Dad love you.' Then she takes us out of the room. It is devastating, my husband does not drink and she said: 'Give me that bottle!'”, The actress related.

Finally Saldaña affirmed that the experiment did not work and that she and Perego-Saldaña "aborted mission".

“We took our children and we were both crying. The boys' bodies were shaking and I was thinking, 'Oh, God, you're not going to forgive me for this.'”
