Actress Mónica Cruz, sister of Penélope Cruz, became the mother of a girl who was born at the Ruber Internacional clinic in Madrid on Tuesday.
This was reported by the Spanish site Hola.com, which adds that Monica arrived at the hospital at 10:30 in the morning, accompanied by her sister Penélope (also pregnant with her second child), as well as Encarna, mother of the actresses, and Eduardo Cruz, brother of both.
Hola.com reported that the birth occurred around 4:15 pm, Spanish time. Shortly afterward, Eduardo shared an image on Twitter with the phrase “Viva la vida”.
The arrival of Monica's daughter occurs a couple of months before her sister Penelope has her second child. Javier Bardem's wife confirmed her second pregnancy last February.
Monica Cruz had made her decision to be a single mother public last January, revealing that she resorted to artificial insemination to fulfill her dream of having a child.
