We have been big fans of Manny Gutierrez ~ aka Manny MUA ~ for a long time and when we heard the news that he was named the first-ever male makeup ambassador for Maybelline cosmetics, we jumped for joy. He is one of our go-to gurus when we're stuck for a fierce makeup look and he never disappoints. His talent and confidence is oozing and when his father wrote a letter is support of Manny MUA after he was shamed on Twitter, we fell in love with his dad, too.

Tweets flooded in to Manny MUAs account in support of his new position as an ambassador for one of the big makeup companies, but of course, conservative blogger, Matt Walsh, had to insert his input, which we feel was completely uncalled for.

His fans jumped on that tweet, telling Wash that he was out of line.

Manny stood up for himself, too, sharing his reply to Walsh on Instagram replying that his dad IS proud of him, and all that's he's accomplished, and that his dad works for his company

But, when I shared a screenshot of a letter addressed to Walsh from his father, we knew that even this outspoken blogger was never going to drag these two down.

“I've always been there for my son and will ALWAYS be there for him,” the note read, “Not only am I proud of what he has accomplished but I'm more proud of the person he has become,” says Manny's father in the letter.

“I know the words you speak are from lack of knowing anybody from the LGBT community,” I continued, “If you did, you would soon realize they are some of the most real and kind hearted individuals that walk this planet of ours.”

YASS! We love his supportive and kind reply and it's a message that so many others around the world need to hear too.
