As the 2016 presidential race reaches its heated conclusion, many celebrities and influencers are encouraging Americans to get out and vote, and actress Ana Ortiz has joined the movement in a groundbreaking way.
The Devious Maids actress has teamed up with the campaign “We The Voters” to release 20 films aimed at voters. "[The films] were designed to inform, educate and inspire people to get activated and engaged in the voting process," said Ortiz. "I think a lot of people are just turned off and what 'We The Voters' does-really beautifully- is to make it fun."
Ortiz even got to act in some of the shorts. She plays President James Madison in one of the films titled #FoundingFathers, a witty take on the importance of the US Constitution.
With the films out now, Ana sat down to talk about the project, reminisce about the first time she voted, and stress the importance of having a voice in this election.
