MTV has released the nominations for the 2016 Video Music Awards.
The nominations were revealed live on Facebook and the contenders for Video of the Year were painted on a mural in New York's East Village.
Beyoncé leads the nominations earning 11 for her Lemonade visuals. Adele lands right behind Bey with noms for her songs "Hello" and "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)." Other nominees include Justin Bieber, Drake, and Fifth Harmony.
Unlike many award shows, music fans from all over are able to vote for their favorites on mtv.com. These votes will then decide the winner for each category.
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from New York City on Sunday, August 28 at 9 pm ET / PT.
