Melania Trump has been under fire after she was accused of plagiarizing Michelle Obama 's speech from 2009 for her speech at the Republican National Convention on Monday. Jokes, memes, and articles spread fast all over the internet but many speculate it was pure coincidence.
Just as the alleged lifting of the first lady's speech started to become old news, another accusation emerged and Melania might also have copied a line from British pop star Rick Astley 's song “Never Gonna Give You Up.”
Social media users pointed out the specific line in her speech:
Melania Trump: “He will never, ever give up. And most important, he will never, ever let you down.”
Rick Astley: "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down."
One YouTube user took it to whole other level and produced a compare / contrast video.
Can we assume Trump's entire campaign to be a Rick-roll?
