Facebook didn't let other apps have the spotlight for too long. The company has updated their live video feature called Facebook Live, which has become popular since it's most recent launch. Just in time for elections, the upgrade introduces new ways to share, interact, and personalize your broadcasts. Here's a breakdown of the latest features:

Exclusivity

Users are now able to go live on Facebook Groups and Faceook Events. Once you have a group or event created, you are able to go live and only members are allowed to see what you are broadcasting. It's great for those that are unable to make it to an event but want to feel like a part of it. Users are also able to use Events to schedule live Q&A sessions.

Interactive

Live Reactions is a genius blend of Periscope and Snapchat. Bravo Facebook! Viewers of any broadcast are able to express their reactions or feelings in real time during the live video. They can select emotions from Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry and the reactions disappear quickly so broadcasters and viewers can get a sense of how the people are feeling throughout the video. Soon, the ability to draw on your video while live will be added.

Invitations

You are now able to invite your Facebook friends to watch a live video with you. Viewers just have to tap on the invite icon on the bottom left of the screen and select the friend they want to invite.

Discover

Similar to Instagram's explore posts, Facebook has started to roll out a dedicated place on the mobile app where you can find trending videos and videos on the topics of your interest. On the same page, you are able to search live and non-live videos.
