Prepare the apron and go into the kitchen to show your guests on Valentine's Day how good a chef you are. Because not only do you prepare delicious dishes, but they are also sugar-free, so they can repeat over and over again without fear of the consequences.
Healthy cooking, with vegetables as protagonists, is not synonymous with boring. Stay away from the typical salad and give free rein to your imagination when using the different ingredients, even when preparing desserts, as we will show you right now.
To start, we will open our mouth with a garden of crudités
You will need:
Peppers
Cucumbers
Carrots
Hummus
Green
skewers Heart-shaped cutters
- Clean the vegetables well because we are going to consume them raw
- Use cutters in different sizes, they can be heart, but also flower, to cut different vegetables and create spaces inside.
3. Play to mix the colors of the vegetables and fit the pieces like a puzzle of different vegetables. For example, a little carrot heart inside a larger cucumber heart.
4. Insert the pre-assembled vegetable flowers into the green skewers.
5. Present them in a vase filled with hummus.
As the main dish of the night we will prepare a pumpkin and apple strudel with melted cheese. But do not worry, this strudel does not have puff pastry and you only have to use three ingredients.
We will use:
6 thinly sliced pumpkin slices
2 large golden apples
1 piece of gorgonzola cheese
- Cook the pumpkin for about three minutes. Put it in the boiling water. That it is made but that it does not break.
- While in a saucepan put the apple, cut into small pieces, to cook over low heat.
- When it is well poached, add two tablespoons of gorgonzola cheese and mix well.
4. In a baking tray you put a slice of pumpkin and coat it with the apple and cheese mixture. You put another slice of pumpkin and more apple, like this until you use all the slices of pumpkin mounting your strudel.
5. On the last layer of pumpkin you can put more apple and grated cheese to gratin.
6. Leave it in the oven until the cheese is golden and ready!
If you do not like pumpkin, you can substitute it with another vegetable such as zucchini, eggplant or potato.
To finish off in style, we offer you an avocado brownie as a dessert. Thanks to its ingredients, it can also be consumed by celiacs, diabetics and lactose intolerant.
