Young Girl Goes Viral After Being Call 'fat

A young girl from Irving, Texas went viral on Twitter after her older cousin posted up her relatable #struggle on the social media platform last week.

Briseyda Ponce was getting ready to go on her daily run when her younger cousin Allysson Baires asked to join. While they were running, the 8-year-old admitted that the reason in which she wanted to exercise was because a few kids at her school, including her crush Hector, had called her fat.

“I [explained] to her how beauty isn't physical, and if she wants to work out or run she has to because she wants to be healthy, not because of others' opinions about her body,” Briseyda told Buzzfeed.

After words of encouragement, they continued and when Briseyda turned around to check on her cousin, she realized that she had stopped mid-run for a snack- a Rice Krispies treat to be exact. Because why not?

So the two made it a short run and headed home. "Instead we just walked around the block talking, trying to make her understand how beautiful she is," Ponce said.

The older cousin decided to share the funny moment by posting a few photos of Allysson on their run on Twitter, where the post went on to go viral-many followers relating to Allysson while other's criticized the classmates, including Hector, for their bullying.

“The girls in her class & her crush Hector called her fat so she told me to take her on my run but mid run she pulls out a snack,” she captioned the post.
