Joe Lewinger was a healthy man, however, the coronavirus took his life from him. His wife, Maura Lewinger, has recounted the ordeal they have experienced in the last days after her husband was infected.

Joe-Joe, as she affectionately calls him in his writing on social media, had no serious illness or disease before becoming infected. It started as it usually does with the Covid-19, with a fever picture that accelerated and began to create respiratory problems. He was immediately taken to a New York hospital where he was kept in hospital for fifteen days under medical supervision.

Unfortunately it got worse, of those inexplicable cases that get complicated and have the worst outcome. Her husband passed away at 42, leaving her widow and children heartbroken. Now Maura remembers all the moments lived during these days with her husband through Facetime, from where she last sang the wedding song they married and that represented their love.
