A woman sick with COVId-19 in Michigan desperately asked Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa for help before she passed away.

The heartbreaking recordings of LouAnn Dagen's last days of life were uncovered by her sister after she passed away last Saturday in the emergency room of Mercy Health Saint Mary's Hospital, People reported.

"I am in pain. I have to find a way to ease it," "Alexa, help me" or "Alexa, it will hurt," were some of the excerpts from the conversations revealed to local news channel News 8 by her sister, Penny Dagen.

According to News 8, LouAnn was 66 years old, a resident of the Cedar Springs Metron Nursing Home and had health complications such as diabetes and hypertension.

Dagen said her sister was receiving pain-relieving medication and was rushed to the nearest medical center emergency when she had a respiratory crisis and a drop in pressure.

"The hospital called me right away and told me they put her on a respirator," reported the local channel WXYZ. "They asked me if I would give her [cardiopulmonary resuscitation] if her heart stopped and I said, 'No, she didn't want that.' And then her heart stopped and that was it."

Penny tearfully told News 8 that "it's good to know that she no longer suffers, but I still miss her."

Currently, the state of Michigan records 20,346 positive cases of COVID-19 and a total of 959 deaths.
