Due to travel restrictions due to the global pandemic, Jiménez had to stay in Mexico while her husband and 3-year-old daughter Alessandra were in the United States. She was also forced to cancel her concert tour and find a more creative way to launch her latest pop single titled "The Left Side of the Bed."

"We were going to present it in Operación Triunfo [the Spanish musical reality show], as the gala was canceled [by COVID-19], we had to make an alternative digital promotion plan because we were going to present it last weekend," Jiménez explained to People en Español. "I was in Spain. It was five days ago that I came to Mexico because I couldn't get flights to Miami.”

Since the singer was in Spain - where there are a large number of people infected with Coronavirus - filming the program Operación Triunfo, she preferred to go home in Mexico to spend the quarantine for a few weeks, before taking the risk of going home to Miami and meeting with her family without knowing if she was incubating this disease or not.
