The hasty and unfinished finale with which the Telemundo network closed its successful saga Sin senos si hay paradise, later known as The End of Paradise, at the end of last year, left many telenovela fans disappointed and somewhat angry.

Self Carmen Villalobos, star of fiction, came to recognize months ago in an interview with People in Spanish would have liked a different outcome.

"Honestly, I really wanted a different ending, but I am an actress and my job is to listen so I listened," the Colombian actress was honest at the time.

But why, after so many years of success, did fiction have such an unfinished ending that seemed more like a season finale than the end of a saga?

Pedro Calvo, who played Alexander, the son of 'Black Hand', cleared all doubts this week during a live broadcast he made through social networks.

"The end is unfinished because we were supposed to go for another season," explained the Colombian actor, who has just over 50,000 followers on Instagram.

"At least that's what we thought, but eventually it was decided no, that's what happened," said Calvo.

The actor's statements confirm what many fans of the soap opera already intuited: that the outcome of the fiction, which initially was only going to be a season finale, had been recorded before Telemundo decided to end the saga, which undoubtedly explains that so many unfinished plots remain.
