6-month-old Baby Dies Of Alleged Mistreatment By His Father

A 6-month-old baby died in Ohio after his teenage dad allegedly sat him "abruptly" in a seat, causing serious injuries.

According to police, on Monday little Adrien Decker was crying and his father, Michael Decker, 18, violently placed him in a seat causing the boy to hit his head and stop crying abruptly, The Sun newspaper reported.

The next day, the boy was rushed to the National Children's Hospital in Columbus because he appeared unconscious. There, doctors discovered bleeding in the brain, damage to the spine, neck and even fractured ribs, the family reported on the GoFundMe website.

According to People, Adrien ended up dying last Thursday morning after he was determined to be brain-dead and a decision was made to remove him from the machine that was keeping him alive.

“Adrien became a hero and was able to save another child through organ donation. Adrien's family wants to thank everyone for the kind words, love and prayers,”says Allison Cotton, one of the family members who started a campaign on GoFundMe to raise funds for the funeral.

According to The Sun, Decker admitted to police that he had been rough on his young son, but alleged that he did not do it on purpose. The suspect is in jail and a bond of $ 250,000 was set for him.
